Raam was once renowned for for his reputation as a blade hunter, weilding what he believed to be the finest crafted blades in the world. Having learned to appraise the quality and flaws of swords over the many years he spent collecting them, he became proficient at stiking his opponents blades in areas of weakness, and ultimately, cleaving many blades in two. Many months ago, he was bested by the White Snake. Left without his blades and with a poison slowly pushing him towards death, he made a trek into the mountains of Japan to seek an antidote. He has returned, and now seeks to avenge the theft of his swords, and prove his own worth in combat without the aid of conventional weapons.

Raam has trained himself to fight with the only equiptment he has left. The sheaths of his stolen swords. Unlikely to be fatal under any circumstance, his fighting style has become incredibly defensive. In many instances he will reverse his grip on the sheaths to give him a even more effective defensive stance. Once he takes a stance with his grip reversed he will attempt to remain static, simply watching and reacting to any blows, until his opponent has worn themselves down from attacking.

Raam was born the illigitimate son of a German nobleman, and the Wife of a high ranking Arabic general. Resented by his mothers husband, he did not lead a happy childhood. He left home at an early age in search of his Father. He did not find him, but along the way he picked up English. At some point he became interested in blades, and after further travel around Europe and the middle east, he made his way to Asia, seeking what were rumored to be the highest quality swords in the world, and after some time he managed to pick up Japanese as well. Regardless of language, Raam has a tendency to speak very directly, skipping honorifics, and occasionally misunderstanding metaphors in both languages. He is fluent is Arabic, but there are very few in the SDL who speak it. The origin of his interest in swords is unknown.
